Patna: Lalit Narayan Mishra Institute of Economic Development and Social Change (LNMI), Patna, has achieved an impressive 90 percent placement rate for the 2026 placement session despite challenging market conditions in India and abroad.
The announcement was made by Dr. N. Vijayalakshmi, Additional Chief Secretary and Director of the institute, during a press conference held at the institute auditorium in Patna.

According to the institute, more than 172 students secured placements in over 45 reputed companies across various sectors.

Officials stated that the placement success reflects the institute’s strong academic environment and industry-oriented training.

Highest Package Offered at ₹17.35 Lakh Per Annum
Dr. Vijayalakshmi informed that Asim Banerjee, a student of the institute, received the highest annual package of ₹17.35 lakh from Monster Beverages Corporation.
Other notable salary offers included:
- ₹9 lakh by Indigo Paints
- ₹8 lakh by Tata Consumer Products Limited
- ₹7.5 lakh by COMFED
The average annual package for the 2026 placement session stood at ₹6.5 lakh.
Placement Success Despite Challenging Economic Environment
The LNMI Director highlighted that the global and domestic market situation remains difficult this year, making the achievement even more significant.
She credited the institute’s active placement cell, strong industry partnerships, and students’ dedication for the successful placements.
“This achievement reflects the hard work, commitment, and talent of our students along with the institute’s quality education and training system,” she said.
