Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has directed the Chief Secretary to immediately suspend the Katni CSP following an incident that raised concerns over law and order.
The Chief Minister said negligence, pressure or misuse of position in matters related to law and order will not be tolerated at any level.
Impartial Inquiry Ordered
Dr Yadav said an impartial inquiry will examine the entire matter. He made it clear that strict action will follow against officials found guilty after the inquiry.
The Chief Minister’s direction comes with an emphasis on maintaining accountability within the police and administrative system and ensuring that law-and-order responsibilities are handled without external pressure or misuse of authority.
CM Warns Against Misuse of Position
Dr Yadav clarified through a post on social media platform X that the government will take a strict view of any negligence in maintaining law and order.
He stressed that officials must perform their duties fairly and responsibly. The government will take action based on the findings of the impartial inquiry.
The decision to order the immediate suspension of the Katni CSP underlines the government’s stated focus on accountability and impartial policing.
Focus on Law and Order Accountability
The Chief Minister’s intervention also sends a broader message to officials dealing with law-and-order matters across Madhya Pradesh. Any failure to perform duties properly, undue pressure or misuse of official position will face scrutiny.
The inquiry will establish the facts of the Katni incident, after which further action will be taken against those found responsible.
