Madhya Pradesh to Resume Annual Promotions for Government Employees, CM Mohan Yadav Says

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the promotion process for eligible Madhya Pradesh government employees will continue annually, while reiterating the state government’s commitment to employee welfare.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the state government will continue the promotion process for eligible government officers and employees and ensure that employee welfare measures are implemented without unnecessary delays.

Yadav made the remarks on August 25 during an event at the state secretariat, where ministry employees felicitated him for decisions taken for government employees.

‘Promotion Process Will Not Stop’

Addressing the employees, the Chief Minister said promotions bring visible happiness among employees and also contribute to the functioning of government departments.

He said the government is committed to providing employees with eligible pay, allowances and promotions, describing these as employees’ entitlements.

Yadav said,“Our government takes decisions with the welfare and emotions of the employees in mind.”

He also said that delayed decisions concerning employee benefits can amount to injustice and reiterated that the government intends to provide benefits to employees on time.

Departmental DPCs to Begin This Year

Yadav said the promotion process for Madhya Pradesh government officers and employees would continue and would not remain stalled.

Key points highlighted by the Chief Minister include:

  • The promotion process for eligible employees will continue year after year.
  • Departmental Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) are scheduled to begin the promotion process this year.
  • Eligible employees will receive the benefit of promotion through the prescribed process.
  • The state government will continue taking employee-welfare decisions.

The Chief Minister also extended Raksha Bandhan greetings to women employees.

Government Lists Earlier Employee-Welfare Measures

The state government highlighted several measures taken for government employees during Yadav’s tenure.

According to the information shared at the event:

  • In December 2023, payments were made towards allowances that had remained pending since 2013.
  • In 2026, more than 1.25 lakh government officers and employees received promotions.
  • The government has fulfilled five demands, including those related to the time-scale pay structure.
  • Employee welfare measures have also included attention to salaries, allowances and housing.

Two Sportspersons Honoured

The programme also included recognition for two sportspersons.

Jagruti Patel, an international karate player, and Anjali Verma, a recipient of the Vikram Award, were honoured during the event.

The Chief Minister also said transparent decision-making and determination are important foundations of good governance and reiterated the state government’s commitment to employee welfare.
