Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is putting electric mobility, technology and industrial innovation at the centre of its plans to modernise the state’s transport system. The Passenger Transport Vision Summit 2026, being held on September 11 and 12 at the Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore, has brought together companies and institutions to showcase solutions for safer, smoother and more efficient passenger transport.

A special exhibition at the summit is giving participating companies an opportunity to display their technologies, services, products and innovations. Electric buses have also been showcased as a key part of the future transport system, highlighting the state’s focus on cleaner and technology-driven mobility.

Companies Showcase Transport Technology in Indore

Several companies and organisations are participating in the exhibition, including Think Gas, Yash Technologies, State Bank of India (SBI), Indian Oil, Light Metrics, MPIDC, Cube Construction, Kalyani Powertrain Limited and Omnificient.

The exhibition brings together solutions linked to modern transportation, technological innovation, energy and fuel facilities and infrastructure development.

The participation of companies from different sectors also reflects the wider approach behind the summit. Instead of focusing only on bus operations, the initiative is bringing transport, technology, energy, finance and infrastructure stakeholders together.

EV Buses Highlight Future of MP Transport

Electric buses displayed at the exhibition are among the major attractions of the summit. Their inclusion reflects the growing emphasis on electric mobility as Madhya Pradesh works towards a cleaner and more modern public transport system.

The state is seeking to connect its transport services with new technology while improving convenience and safety for citizens. The broader transport vision also focuses on improving connectivity and making public mobility more efficient.

The push towards EVs is particularly significant as transport systems across India increasingly look at cleaner alternatives to conventional fuel-based vehicles.

Transport Modernisation Could Create Jobs

The summit is not limited to transport infrastructure. It is also aimed at encouraging investment and industrial activity in Madhya Pradesh.

Through the exhibition, participating companies are being introduced to investment opportunities available in the state and its development-oriented policies. The government is seeking to create an environment where technology companies, industrial players and other institutions can participate in the expansion of modern transport infrastructure.

The Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva is being positioned as an important initiative in this effort. By connecting transport services with technology, the programme is expected to support greater technical efficiency and better connectivity.

It could also open up opportunities for new employment and investment in the transport and related sectors.

Industry Participation Strengthens Investment Push

The participation of industrial and technology institutions is significant for the state’s wider development strategy.

Companies involved in energy, technology, finance, infrastructure and transport are using the exhibition to present their capabilities and explore opportunities linked to Madhya Pradesh’s growing mobility requirements.

The presence of organisations such as SBI and Indian Oil alongside technology and infrastructure companies also reflects the multi-sector nature of the state’s transport modernisation plans.

As the state expands its focus on modern mobility, such participation could help bring together investment, technology and infrastructure capabilities under a common development framework.

MP Eyes Modern and Future-Ready Transport

The Passenger Transport Vision Summit 2026 is being positioned as an important step towards developing a more accessible, modern and efficient transport system in Madhya Pradesh.

The initiative combines accessible passenger transport, electric mobility, technological innovation, infrastructure development and investment. This broader approach is intended to ensure that modernisation of transport also contributes to economic activity and employment generation.

The participation of companies and institutions from different sectors indicates that Madhya Pradesh is seeking to develop transport and logistics as areas of growing economic opportunity.

The state’s focus on EV buses could also support its cleaner mobility goals, while new technologies can help improve the efficiency and quality of passenger services.

A Wider Mobility Vision for Madhya Pradesh

The summit and exhibition underline the state’s attempt to prepare its transport system for future requirements rather than simply expand existing infrastructure.

The government expects the Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva to contribute to better connectivity, technological efficiency and improved passenger facilities. At the same time, greater industry participation is expected to support investment and create new opportunities in the transport ecosystem.

The event is therefore more than a showcase of new vehicles and technology. It represents an effort to connect public transport modernisation with industrial development, investment and employment.

With EV buses, technology solutions and infrastructure-related innovations being showcased in Indore, the Passenger Transport Vision Summit 2026 is expected to play an important role in shaping Madhya Pradesh’s move towards a more modern, efficient and future-ready transport system.
