PESB Recommends Manish Pradhan as Director (Technical) of Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Manish Pradhan for the post of Director (Technical) at Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited (MRVC), a key public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways. The recommendation was made during the selection meeting held on October 17, 2025.

Senior Railway Officer Chosen for Key Role

Manish Pradhan, who currently serves as Chief Workshop Engineer in the Indian Railways, has been selected from a strong pool of 10 candidates representing senior management positions across multiple organizations. The selection reflects his extensive technical expertise and long-standing experience in railway infrastructure and operations.

Broad-Based Selection Process

The PESB panel evaluated candidates from prestigious organizations including Ircon International Limited, NTPC Limited, Indian Railways, Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation Limited, and the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL). After a rigorous interview process, Pradhan emerged as the top choice to lead the technical wing of MRVC.

Strategic Role in Mumbai’s Railway Infrastructure

As Director (Technical), Pradhan will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, execution, and implementation of major railway projects in the Mumbai region. His responsibilities will include modernizing suburban railway infrastructure, integrating high-capacity systems, and supporting future expansion plans to meet the growing demand of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

His appointment comes at a time when MRVC is accelerating its efforts to upgrade and expand Mumbai’s railway network through initiatives such as MUTP (Mumbai Urban Transport Project) and other key infrastructure modernization programs.
