New Delhi: Rekha Pandey has assumed charge as Director (Human Resources) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) on October 23, 2026. She took charge on Friday evening at the company’s headquarters in Sambalpur, Odisha.
Pandey brings over 32 years of professional experience in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. Before her appointment at MCL, she was serving as General Manager (HR/CSR) at Coal India Limited’s corporate headquarters in Kolkata.
Her experience spans employee welfare, industrial relations and workforce management, providing her with a broad understanding of human resource functions in the coal mining sector.
Rekha Pandey’s Professional Experience in HR
Throughout her career, Pandey has handled various responsibilities related to human resource management, employee welfare and industrial relations.
She has also served in different capacities at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), where her assignments involved key functions relating to employee welfare, industrial relations and workforce administration.
Her experience across Coal India and its subsidiaries has given her exposure to multiple aspects of human resource operations in the coal sector.
Before taking over as Director (HR) at MCL, she served as General Manager (HR/CSR) at Coal India Limited’s headquarters, where she handled responsibilities associated with human resources and corporate social responsibility.
