Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Board is offering another opportunity to purchase residential plots, houses and other properties through an online auction across seven cities, including Lucknow.
The auction will cover vacant properties in the board’s existing housing schemes, including residential, commercial and educational-use properties. Interested applicants can register online until November 4, while the first round of e-auction is scheduled for November 5.
The move focuses on selling properties that remain available in existing schemes rather than launching a new housing scheme for the festive season.

In Lucknow, properties are available under several schemes and localities, including:
- Awadh Vihar Yojana
- Diamond Dairy Yojana
- Indira Nagar and Indira Nagar Extension

Apart from Lucknow, the auction will cover properties in the Meerut, Bareilly, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Kanpur regions.
Plots are also available in areas under the Lucknow region, including Ayodhya, Barabanki, Hardoi, Sitapur, Sultanpur and Lakhimpur Kheri.
The properties on offer include residential plots as well as assets designated for commercial and educational purposes.
Second Auction Round Planned for November 27
Housing Commissioner Anil Dhingra said properties receiving applications by November 4 would be included in the November 5 auction.
If a plot receives only one bid, the board will invite applications again for the property. Registration for this subsequent round will remain open from November 7 to November 26, followed by another online auction on November 27.
The two-round process will give applicants another opportunity to bid for properties that do not attract multiple bids in the initial auction.
Gomti Riverfront to Reopen to Public on October 25
Meanwhile, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is preparing to reopen the Gomti Riverfront to the public on Sunday, October 25, after closing it on October 2 because of flooding and waterlogging.
LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar said the riverfront would reopen to visitors from Sunday. People will be able to visit the area for walks and recreation along the Gomti River.
The riverfront had been closed after rising water levels in the Gomti caused waterlogging in the area. The restriction was imposed as a safety measure, affecting people who regularly visited the site for morning and evening walks.
