Production of High-Performance Aerospace Fasteners

The facility will produce a wide range of specialised fasteners used in critical aerospace applications, including:

  • High-strength steel fasteners for extreme conditions
  • Titanium fasteners with superior strength-to-weight ratio
  • Superalloy fasteners for high-temperature and corrosive environments

These components are essential for defence aircraft, missiles, and space systems.

Focus on Quality, Testing and Traceability

MIDHANI emphasized strict quality control throughout the production process. The facility includes advanced testing and inspection capabilities such as:

  • Proof load testing
  • Thread profiling
  • Magnetic particle inspection
  • Coating evaluation
  • End-to-end material traceability

The entire production process, from raw material melting to finished goods, is carried out in-house to ensure high reliability.

Strengthening India’s Defence Self-Reliance

The facility is aligned with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aiming to reduce dependence on imports in critical defence components.

The unit also operates under oversight from defence inspection agencies, including DGAQA, the Indian Navy, and missile programme authorities, ensuring compliance with stringent defence standards.

Future Growth Through R&D and Innovation

MIDHANI stated that it will continue to invest in research and development while focusing on customer-centric solutions. The company aims to build long-term partnerships in the aerospace and defence sectors by delivering customised, high-performance materials.
