Ahmedabad: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav held an investment dialogue with industrialists and investors in Ahmedabad on August 12 as part of the state government’s efforts to attract new investments and strengthen industrial ties with Gujarat.
The meeting was held at the Taj Skyline in Ahmedabad and focused on presenting Madhya Pradesh as an investment and manufacturing destination while engaging directly with industrial groups and potential investors.
One-to-One Meetings With Industrialists
During the programme, Yadav held one-to-one meetings with industrialists and investors from Gujarat and other parts of the country.
The discussions focused on Madhya Pradesh’s investment environment, including:
- Industry-friendly policies and incentives
- Availability of land for industrial projects
- Infrastructure facilities
- Government support for setting up projects
- Faster processing of required approvals
The Chief Minister assured investors that the state government would work to address their requirements and facilitate the implementation of proposed projects.
Electronics, Semiconductors and Manufacturing in Focus
The Madhya Pradesh government presented investment opportunities available across different sectors, with particular emphasis on emerging and high-technology industries.
Key sectors highlighted during the investment outreach included:

- Manufacturing
The engagement was aimed at informing Gujarat’s industrial community about investment opportunities and the facilities available in Madhya Pradesh.
Single-Window System and Plug-and-Play Infrastructure
The state government also highlighted administrative and infrastructure measures intended to facilitate industrial investment.
Single-window clearance: The system is intended to streamline the process of obtaining approvals required for establishing industrial units.
Plug-and-play infrastructure: The government highlighted ready industrial infrastructure aimed at enabling investors to set up and commence operations without having to develop basic facilities from scratch.
MP Seeks Stronger Industrial Linkages With Gujarat
Gujarat is one of India’s major industrial centres, and the Madhya Pradesh government’s engagement in Ahmedabad forms part of its efforts to strengthen investment linkages with the state’s industrial sector.
Through the investment dialogue and individual meetings, the MP government sought to present its policies, infrastructure and sector-specific opportunities directly to prospective investors.
