Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a courtesy meeting with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the Chief Minister’s residence in Bhopal on Saturday. During the meeting, both leaders discussed ongoing education reforms, implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), and initiatives related to skill development in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister welcomed the Union Minister with a bouquet and an angavastram, and also presented a replica of Baba Mahakal as a gesture of respect.
Focus on Education Reforms and NEP Implementation
During the discussion, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav briefed the Union Education Minister on key educational initiatives being implemented in the state, including:
- Effective implementation of the National Education Policy 2020
- Expansion of digital learning infrastructure across schools and colleges
- Strengthening higher education systems in Madhya Pradesh
- Promotion of skill-based and employment-oriented education
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government is prioritizing quality education aligned with modern learning requirements.

Union Education Minister Highlights Sports and Skill Integration
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the initiatives taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that for the first time in India, education systems are being aligned with sports, physical education, and skill development.

As part of his visit to Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, along with Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang, visited a shooting academy in Bhopal.
During the visit, he:

- Encouraged integration of academic and sports achievements
- Highlighted government support for youth talent development
The visit was part of nationwide celebrations marking 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also participated in a cleanliness drive in Suraj Nagar, Bhopal, under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
He took part in the campaign through voluntary labour (shramdaan), along with local leaders including MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani and MP Alok Sharma. The initiative aimed to promote public participation in cleanliness and urban hygiene.
