Madhya Pradesh:Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the blessings of “Chambal Maiya” are benefiting both Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, describing the two neighbouring states as “partner states” with deep cultural and geographical ties.
He was addressing the 38th free mass marriage ceremony organized by the Yaduvanshi Ahir community in Kota.
MP–Rajasthan Partnership Strengthened Through PKC River Project
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal (PKC) interstate river linking project, approved under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be a major driver of economic prosperity for both states.
He said the project will strengthen irrigation facilities and bring long-term agricultural and economic benefits, opening new “doors of prosperity” for farmers in both regions.
Cultural Values and Importance of Marriage Tradition
CM Yadav highlighted that marriage is one of the 16 sacred Hindu sacraments and plays a vital role in preserving family lineage and social continuity.
He said collective marriages help reduce financial burden on families and shared that he himself conducted his son’s wedding in a simple manner, encouraging society to avoid unnecessary expenditure.
He also emphasized that daughters bring together two families and should be respected as a divine blessing.
Lord Krishna’s Teachings and “Shri Krishna Pathway” Initiative
The Chief Minister spoke about Lord Krishna’s teachings, describing him as a symbol of righteousness, leadership, and democratic values.
He noted that after defeating Kansa, Lord Krishna did not take the throne, setting an example of true democratic spirit.
He added that the state government is developing “Shri Krishna Pathway” projects to preserve and promote religious and cultural heritage sites associated with Lord Krishna.
Leaders Praise Social Unity and Youth Participation
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla praised the Yaduvanshi community for its contribution to education, national service, and social responsibility, noting that many youths are serving in the armed forces.
He appreciated the increasing popularity of mass marriage ceremonies, stating that they help reduce economic inequality and social pressure.
Rajasthan Education Minister Madam Dilawar said such events help bridge the gap between rich and poor, while Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar stressed the importance of unity between states and joint development efforts.
Promotion of Simplicity in Marriages and Social Welfare
CM Yadav urged families to avoid extravagant spending and debt during weddings, encouraging simple and meaningful ceremonies.
He also invited people to the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh in Ujjain and said that religious tourism projects are being developed across the state.
Support for Temple Development and Cultural Heritage
The Chief Minister announced full support for the development of a historic temple near Ramganj Mandi and said that religious sites linked to Lord Krishna are being developed into pilgrimage destinations. He said the government is committed to preserving cultural heritage while promoting tourism and regional development.
Strong Presence of Leaders and Social Harmony Message
The event saw participation from saints, public representatives from both states, and community leaders, reflecting strong social harmony and cultural unity. Organizers of the event welcomed the Chief Minister and Lok Sabha Speaker, marking the ceremony as a major example of collective social reform.
