Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced the development of a grand Saraswati Lok at Bhojshala in Dhar and the establishment of a Raja Bhoj Research Institute, aiming to revive the historic site’s legacy as a renowned center of knowledge, Sanskrit learning, and scholarly research.
Addressing the Council of Ministers meeting in Bhopal, the Chief Minister also unveiled several key initiatives related to farmers, skill development, dairy growth, water conservation, and trader welfare.
Grand Saraswati Lok to Be Developed at Bhojshala
CM Yadav said the state government is committed to restoring the historical and cultural significance of Bhojshala, which was established by King Bhoj and served for centuries as a prominent center of education, philosophy, science, and Sanskrit studies.
According to the Chief Minister, the government will undertake all necessary efforts to revive Bhojshala’s glorious heritage through the creation of a grand Saraswati Lok.
Raja Bhoj Research Institute to Be Established in Dhar
To promote research on the legacy of King Bhoj, the government will establish a Raja Bhoj Research Institute in Dhar, the historic workplace of the legendary ruler.
The institute is expected to support academic research, historical documentation, and cultural studies related to King Bhoj’s contributions to education, governance, literature, and architecture.
Financial Assistance for Bhojshala Movement Martyrs
The Chief Minister announced financial assistance of ₹5 lakh each for the families of three individuals who lost their lives during the Bhojshala movement:
- Late Bansingh
- Late Antarsingh
- Late Lakshman Singh
The assistance will be provided to their nearest family members as a mark of respect for their sacrifice.
CM Congratulates PM Narendra Modi on 12 Years in Office
Dr. Yadav congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years in public service leadership at the national level.
He stated that under Modi’s leadership, India has achieved significant progress in:
- Economic development
- Self-reliance initiatives
- National security
- Digital transformation
- Cultural revival
- Global leadership
The Chief Minister said government schemes have reached the last mile beneficiary while strengthening the vision of inclusive development.
Public Suggestions on Uniform Civil Code Open Till June 15
The Chief Minister appreciated the launch of a dedicated website for collecting public feedback on the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
He informed that:
- A high-level committee is conducting district visits.
- Citizens, political parties, and organizations can submit suggestions.
- The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2026.
Ministers have been directed to promote public participation and awareness regarding the consultation process.
Global Skill Park Students Secure Jobs in Hungary
Highlighting the success of Madhya Pradesh’s skill development ecosystem, CM Yadav said that three students from the Sant Shiromani Ravidas Global Skill Park have secured employment opportunities in Hungary.
Key achievements include:
- Three students from Batch-9 have already joined jobs in Hungary.
- During April-May 2026, 236 youth received placements across 16 companies.
The Chief Minister said these achievements reflect the state’s industry-oriented training model and growing international employment opportunities.
Dairy Sector Records Strong Growth
Madhya Pradesh’s dairy sector continues to show strong performance.
According to the Chief Minister:
- Average daily milk procurement has reached 9.67 lakh kilograms.
- Dairy farmers received ₹1,609 crore during 2025-26, compared to ₹1,398 crore in 2024-25.
- Producer payments increased by over 15 percent year-on-year.
- Milk procurement prices were increased by ₹2.50 to ₹8.50 per litre across various dairy unions.
The government has also strengthened systems to ensure timely payments to milk producers.
Record Wheat Procurement Benefits Farmers
CM Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh achieved a record wheat procurement season despite challenging international conditions.
Key Wheat Procurement Highlights
- Total wheat procurement: 104.36 lakh metric tonnes
- Farmers participating: 13.42 lakh
- Procurement rate: ₹2,625 per quintal
- MSP: ₹2,585 per quintal
- State bonus: ₹40 per quintal
- Additional farmer benefit through bonus: ₹417 crore
- Total payment made to farmers: ₹25,096.99 crore
The Chief Minister noted that, excluding the Covid-19 period, this is the highest wheat procurement recorded in the state during the past decade.
Massive Progress Under Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan
The state government reported substantial achievements under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, being implemented from March 19 to June 30, 2026.
Major Achievements
- Investment of ₹6,330 crore
- More than 2 lakh water-related structures completed or renovated
- Around 1.51 lakh projects under progress
- Construction and restoration of:
- 57,794 farm ponds
- 91,838 well recharge structures
- 29,906 water conservation and recharge facilities
- Completion of 126 Amrit Sarovars
The campaign aims to strengthen water conservation, groundwater recharge, and long-term water security.
Sacred Buddhist Relics from Sanchi Sent to Mongolia
The Chief Minister informed that sacred relics of Lord Buddha’s chief disciples have been sent from Sanchi Stupa to Mongolia for public display.
The exhibition, which began in Ulaanbaatar on May 31, 2026, is expected to attract more than one million devotees, monks, and tourists.
The government believes the initiative will increase global interest in India’s Buddhist heritage circuit, particularly Sanchi.
State Trader Welfare Board Formed
The Madhya Pradesh government has established a State Trader Welfare Board to support the business community.
The board is expected to:
- Improve trader welfare measures
- Promote exports
- Strengthen the business ecosystem
- Facilitate international trade opportunities
Officials said the initiative will contribute to economic growth and support the state’s expanding commercial sector.
Government Focuses on Heritage, Farmers, Skills and Infrastructure
The announcements made during the Council of Ministers meeting reflect the Madhya Pradesh government’s multi-pronged approach toward cultural heritage conservation, agricultural growth, skill development, water security, dairy sector expansion, and trader welfare.
The proposed Saraswati Lok project at Bhojshala and the Raja Bhoj Research Institute are expected to become major cultural and educational landmarks in Dhar, while parallel investments in farming, employment, and infrastructure continue to drive the state’s development agenda.
