Bhopal: In a significant step towards sustainable mobility and environmental conservation, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has become the first Chief Minister in India to include an electric vehicle (EV) in his official convoy.

Mahindra XEV 9e Added to CM Convoy
The Chief Minister’s convoy now includes the electric SUV Mahindra XEV 9e, manufactured by Mahindra Group.
According to the company’s specifications, the electric vehicle is capable of delivering a driving range of approximately 500 kilometers on a single charge, making it suitable for official travel requirements.
CM Mohan Yadav used the EV for travel from the Chief Minister’s residence to the State Hangar in Bhopal, marking its first official deployment in the convoy.

Vehicle Number Reflects ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ Vision
The newly inducted electric vehicle carries the registration number MP-02-VB-2047.
The number has attracted attention because:
- “VB” is being associated with Viksit Bharat (Developed India)
- “2047” symbolizes Prime Minister Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by the centenary year of Independence
The registration is being viewed as a symbolic endorsement of the national development vision.
