CM Mohan Yadav Launches ₹388 Crore Development Projects in Shujalpur, Boosts Education, Health and Infrastructure

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister launches new colleges, hospitals, roads, and police upgrades in Shajapur district, alongside ‘College Chalo Abhiyan’ and key welfare initiatives.

Shajapur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 43 development works worth ₹388 crore in Shujalpur, Shajapur district, marking a major boost to regional infrastructure, education, healthcare, and public safety. The visit also included new announcements focused on roads, police facilities, and higher education expansion.

Major Development Projects Worth ₹388 Crore Launched

During the event in Shujalpur, CM Dr. Yadav initiated and inaugurated multiple projects aimed at strengthening basic infrastructure and public services. The total development package includes works across education, health, transport, and civic infrastructure.

He also laid the foundation for key healthcare institutions, including:

  • An Ayurvedic College and Hospital worth ₹70 crore
  • A 50-bed AYUSH Hospital costing ₹14.37 crore

These initiatives are part of the state’s broader effort to expand traditional and modern healthcare systems across districts.

Education Boost: Launch of ‘College Chalo Abhiyan’ and New Schools

The Chief Minister also launched the “College Chalo Abhiyan” and the admission process for government colleges across Madhya Pradesh from Shujalpur.

Additionally, he inaugurated four new Sandipani Schools worth ₹122 crore, named after prominent historical figures:

  • Maa Sharda Sandipani School
  • Maharana Pratap Sandipani School
  • Mihir Bhoj Sandipani School
  • Raja Bhoj Sandipani School

He emphasized the government’s focus on improving access to quality education under the state’s new education policy.

Healthcare Expansion Across Shajapur District

As part of strengthening healthcare infrastructure, CM Dr. Yadav also inaugurated four new primary health centers worth ₹14.58 crore. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh has significantly expanded medical education infrastructure, including the establishment of new medical colleges in recent years.

The government also reiterated plans to establish additional Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic medical institutions, including a proposed government homoeopathic college in Ujjain.

Infrastructure Development and Road Connectivity Announcements

Several key infrastructure announcements were made specifically for Shujalpur and surrounding regions:

  • Two-lane road from Police Chowki Shujalpur via Bhilkhedi, Meharkhedi, and Kalapipal
  • Shajapur bypass connectivity linking Ashta Road to Pachar Road via Shujalpur bypass
  • New bypass road in Gaulana
  • Proposal to upgrade Gaulana into a Nagar Panchayat

Additionally, housing facilities for police personnel and a 50-person manpower increase in Shujalpur police station were announced to improve law and order.

CM Highlights Progress in Agriculture and Rural Development

CM Dr. Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh has achieved record wheat procurement, with farmers receiving ₹2,625 per quintal this year. He emphasized the government’s commitment to farmer welfare and irrigation expansion, noting that irrigation coverage in the state has increased significantly compared to earlier years.

He also mentioned that over 25 crore people across India have been lifted out of poverty under national welfare initiatives, crediting coordinated governance and development policies.

Political and Administrative Participation

The event was attended by several senior leaders, including Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar and local representatives. Officials highlighted Shujalpur’s historical and educational significance, along with its growing importance in the region’s development roadmap.

Roadshow and Public Interaction in Shujalpur

Following the inauguration program, CM Dr. Yadav conducted a 1.5-kilometer roadshow in Shujalpur, where he was welcomed by local organizations and citizens. More than 50 public stages were set up along the route, with widespread floral reception from residents.

The Chief Minister also interacted with citizens and emphasized that the government remains committed to the welfare of the poor, youth, women, and farmers.

Vision for Balanced Regional Development

CM Dr. Yadav reiterated that Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with strong emphasis on governance reforms, infrastructure expansion, and social welfare.

He assured that the ongoing development works will accelerate growth in Shajapur district and help transform the region’s overall landscape in the coming years.
