New Delhi: MOIL Limited has increased the prices of its manganese ore by 5% across grades for October 2026. The revised prices are effective from midnight of September 30/October 1, 2026.
The price revision covers ferro grades as well as other manganese ore categories, including chemical grades, SMGR grades and fines.
MOIL Raises Manganese Ore Prices by 5%
MOIL said the prices of all ferro grades with manganese content of 44% and above have been increased by 5% over the prices prevailing since September 1, 2026.
The 5% price increase also applies to:
- Ferro grades with manganese content below 44%
- Chemical grades
- SMGR grades
- Manganese ore fines
The revised prices will remain applicable for October 2026.

MOIL October 2026 Price Revision: Key Details
The latest revision represents a broad-based increase across MOIL’s manganese ore product portfolio rather than a selective adjustment for specific grades.

- Reference prices: Rates prevailing since September 1, 2026
- EMD basic price: ₹1,80,000 per metric tonne
- EMD flakes price: ₹1,71,000 per metric tonne
EMD Prices Remain Unchanged
While MOIL has increased manganese ore prices, the company has kept the basic price of Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) unchanged for October 2026.
The company will continue to charge:
- EMD: ₹1,80,000 per metric tonne (PMT)
- EMD flakes: ₹1,71,000 per metric tonne
The unchanged EMD prices contrast with the 5% increase announced across the manganese ore grades.
Price Hike Covers All Major Manganese Ore Grades
MOIL’s October price revision covers its major manganese ore categories. The 5% increase applies to prices prevailing from September 1, 2026.
The covered categories include:
- Ferro grades with Mn-44% and above
- Ferro grades with Mn below 44%
- Chemical grades
- SMGR grades
- Manganese ore fines
The revised rates became effective from midnight of September 30/October 1, 2026, for the month of October.
