New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited New Delhi on Thursday, marking his first visit to the national capital after the BJP’s defeat in the Datia Assembly bypoll. During the visit, he met several senior BJP leaders and Union ministers to discuss development-related issues and strengthen Centre-State coordination.
According to party sources, the Chief Minister also held an important meeting with senior BJP leader B.L. Santosh at the BJP headquarters. However, the party has not disclosed the agenda or outcome of the meeting.
Discussions with Union Jal Shakti Minister Focus on Water Management
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil to discuss key issues related to Madhya Pradesh’s water sector.
The discussions focused on:
- Strengthening water resource management
- Expanding irrigation facilities
- Improving drinking water availability
- Promoting water conservation
- Accelerating implementation of water infrastructure projects
The Chief Minister also thanked the Central Government for its continued support in strengthening the state’s water infrastructure.
Meeting with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla
Dr. Mohan Yadav also paid a courtesy visit to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
During the meeting, both leaders discussed:
- Strengthening democratic values
- Parliamentary traditions
- Public welfare initiatives
- Development and good governance
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to Om Birla for his guidance and said that better coordination between the Centre and the state is helping accelerate development and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes.

The Chief Minister also met Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Labour & Employment Bhupender Yadav.

Dr. Mohan Yadav thanked the Union Minister for the Centre’s continued support and discussed measures to speed up development projects in Madhya Pradesh.

The Delhi visit assumes political significance as it comes days after the BJP lost the Datia Assembly bypoll.
