Bhopal: The transfer season continues in Madhya Pradesh, with the General Administration Department issuing a fresh order today extending the transfer window from May 30 to June 10. This extension comes as multiple departments continue to roll out transfer lists, including the Home Department, which today announced new postings for three senior IPS officers.
Key IPS Transfers Issued by Home Department
The Madhya Pradesh Home Department has transferred two IPS officers and assigned additional charge to one officer as part of the latest reshuffle.
- Pragya Richa Srivastava Appointed DG, Home Guard and Disaster Management
1991 batch IPS officer Pragya Richa Srivastava, who was serving as Special Director General of Police (Women Safety), Police Headquarters, Bhopal, has now been appointed as Director General, Home Guard, Civil Security and Disaster Management, Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal.
- Anil Kumar Takes Charge as ADGP, Women Security
1996 batch IPS officer Anil Kumar, previously serving as Additional Director General of Police, SISF, Police Headquarters, Bhopal, has been transferred to the post of ADGP, Women Security, Police Headquarters, Bhopal. He will continue to hold additional charge of the Welfare division at the Police Headquarters.
- Chanchal Shekhar Gets Additional Charge of SISF
The department has also entrusted 1995 batch IPS officer Chanchal Shekhar with additional charge of ADGP, SISF, Police Headquarters, Bhopal, along with his current duties. This is a temporary arrangement until further orders.

Transfer Window Extended Until June 10
The earlier government order had allowed transfers from May 1 to May 30, but with many departments still in the process of issuing transfer lists, the General Administration Department has now officially extended the window until June 10, 2025.
The decision aims to facilitate administrative reorganization and ensure key positions are appropriately staffed across departments.
