Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has completed preparations for the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, which will begin on September 17. A key part of the campaign will be the free registration of land rights for more than 50 lakh rural beneficiaries under the Swamitva scheme.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav reviewed preparations for the campaign and said activities would be organised across districts, villages and other parts of the state. The campaign is scheduled to run from September 17 to October 17.

Free Land Registration for More Than 50 Lakh

One of the major public-service initiatives planned under the campaign is the free registration of land rights for more than 50 lakh rural residents.

The registrations will be carried out under the Swamitva scheme, which focuses on providing formal property records and ownership-related documents to rural households. The initiative is intended to help beneficiaries obtain stronger documentation of their property rights.

According to information released ahead of the campaign, Madhya Pradesh will begin a statewide registration process from September 17. The state government has described the initiative as a major step for rural residents who already hold land rights but require formal registration and documentation.

The free registration process can also help rural property holders establish clearer ownership records, which may be useful when accessing property-related government services and other formal processes.

Seva Sankalp Abhiyan to Run for a Month

The Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will run for around one month, with activities planned from September 17 to October 17.

The state government has made arrangements at the district and village levels for the campaign. The stated focus is on taking public-service and welfare activities closer to residents rather than limiting them to administrative centres.

The campaign is being launched on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has linked the occasion with Modi’s 25 years in public life and said the state would use the campaign to undertake public-service activities.

The government has also planned several other activities during the campaign period, including programmes related to public welfare and service delivery.

Nitin Nabin to Launch Deepotsav in Ujjain

BJP national president Nitin Nabin is scheduled to visit Madhya Pradesh on September 17 and participate in programmes linked to the campaign.

According to the announced schedule, Nabin will first reach Indore and participate in the launch of the new statewide registration process under the Swamitva scheme. He is then scheduled to travel to Ujjain for the evening programme at Ram Ghat.

In Ujjain, Nabin is scheduled to participate in the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ Deepotsav programme and Shipra Aarti. A bhajan sandhya is also planned at Ram Ghat.

Preparations are underway for a large-scale Deepotsav in Ujjain, with around 25 lakh lamps planned across the Shipra ghats and the Mahakal Lok area.

Nabin is also scheduled to attend the Bhasma Aarti at the Mahakaleshwar Temple on September 18 before leaving the state.

Rural Property Rights at the Centre

The free registration initiative gives the campaign a significant rural property-rights component. Under the Swamitva framework, the government works to provide rural residents with formal documentation related to their property.

For beneficiaries, registration of land rights can provide an official record that is easier to use in future property-related transactions and administrative processes.

The Madhya Pradesh government has said the state is among the first to undertake registration at this scale under the campaign. More than 50 lakh beneficiaries are expected to receive the benefit through the statewide process.

The initiative also reflects a broader shift towards formalising rural property records. Clearer documentation can help reduce uncertainty around property ownership and provide rural families with stronger records for dealing with government and financial institutions.

CM Highlights Development and Public Service

While discussing preparations for the campaign, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav referred to the development record of Gujarat under Narendra Modi and India’s achievements during the past 12 years. These remarks were made in the context of the Prime Minister’s birthday and the launch of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

Yadav also said the campaign would carry the message of public service across Madhya Pradesh. The government’s programme combines administrative initiatives with public events and welfare-focused activities throughout the month.

The state has been preparing district-level arrangements so that campaign activities can reach villages and local communities.

Focus on Documentation and Public Outreach

The combination of free property registration, village-level activities and public programmes makes the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan a wide-ranging state initiative.

For rural beneficiaries, the most direct component will be the free registration of land rights covering more than 50 lakh people. For the wider public, the month-long campaign will include a range of service and welfare activities across Madhya Pradesh.

The September 17 launch will also bring together the administrative and public components of the campaign, with the Swamitva registration process beginning in Indore and the Deepotsav programme taking place in Ujjain.

With the campaign scheduled to continue until October 17, the coming month will focus on taking government services and property documentation closer to rural communities while expanding public outreach across Madhya Pradesh.
