New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited and NHPC Limited have signed an MoU for the execution of NHPC’s infrastructure projects across India, covering buildings, structures and allied works, with NBCC providing Project Management Consultancy services and undertaking projects on a deposit work basis.
NBCC and NHPC Sign Infrastructure Development MoU
NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and NHPC Limited, a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Power, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the pan-India execution of NHPC’s infrastructure projects.
The MoU was formalised on August 28, 2026, at NHPC’s corporate office in Faridabad. The agreement is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two Navratna CPSEs and supporting the development of modern, robust and sustainable infrastructure across the country.

Senior Officials Attend MoU Signing Ceremony
The MoU was signed by Deepak Kumar, General Manager (Civil), NHPC, and Rajeev Kumar, Chief General Manager (Engineering), NBCC.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.

NBCC to Provide Project Management Consultancy Services
Under the MoU, NBCC will provide Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services and undertake specific NHPC infrastructure projects on a deposit work basis.
The scope of work will cover the complete project lifecycle, including:
- Design and engineering
- Project management
- Procurement
- Construction
- Quality control
- Installation
- Commissioning
- Statutory compliances
- Handing over of completed projects
This framework is expected to enable efficient coordination and execution of NHPC’s infrastructure projects across different locations in India.
MoU Covers Buildings, Residential and Office Infrastructure
The collaboration will primarily cover buildings, structures and allied infrastructure works associated with NHPC projects.
The projects may include:
- Residential blocks
- Residential and commercial infrastructure
- Office complexes
- Allied facilities and supporting infrastructure
The partnership is expected to focus on cost-effectiveness, time-efficient execution and adherence to required quality standards.
NBCC and NHPC to Leverage Complementary Expertise
The MoU brings together the complementary capabilities of the two Navratna CPSEs.
NHPC brings extensive experience in the hydropower and clean power sectors, while NBCC has established expertise in the planning and execution of diverse infrastructure projects in accordance with Government guidelines.
By combining these capabilities, the two organisations aim to facilitate more standardised and efficient execution of NHPC’s infrastructure projects across the country.
