Singrauli: Northern Coalfields Limited (Northern Coalfields Limited) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the district administration of Singrauli to establish a modern Fish Seed Production (Hatchery) Unit under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The initiative aims to strengthen rural livelihoods and promote sustainable aquaculture development in the region.
₹67.57 Lakh Project to Boost Fish Production
The proposed hatchery project will be developed at an estimated cost of ₹67.57 lakh. It is designed to enhance fish seed availability and significantly improve fish production capacity in Singrauli and surrounding areas.
Officials stated that the project is expected to directly and indirectly benefit around 30,000 people, especially those engaged in fisheries and allied rural occupations.
