New Delhi: State-owned hydropower company NHPC Limited has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernadette Lyngdoh as a Non-Official Independent Director (Woman Director) on its Board of Directors.
The appointment has been approved by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and was communicated to NHPC through an official letter dated July 16, 2026.
The company disclosed the development to the BSE and NSE under the requirements of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

According to NHPC’s regulatory filing, Dr. Bernadette Lyngdoh has been appointed as a Non-Official Independent Director on the company’s Board.
Her appointment will be effective for a period of three years from the date of notification, or until further orders are issued, whichever is earlier.
