Faridabad: NHPC Limited felicitated its Sports Scholars and medal-winning employees for their outstanding achievements at a special programme organised at the NHPC Corporate Office, Faridabad, on August 28, 2026, to commemorate National Sports Day.
The programme was organised in alignment with the three-day nationwide campaign being observed from August 28 to 30, 2026, under the aegis of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Fit India Movement. The campaign commemorates the birth anniversary of legendary Indian hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
NHPC Honours Sports Achievers
Bhupender Gupta, CMD, NHPC, felicitated the organisation’s Sports Scholars and medal-winning employees for their achievements across various sporting disciplines.
Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the achievers in recognition of their remarkable performances and contributions.
The felicitation programme highlighted NHPC’s efforts to recognise employees and young sportspersons who have excelled in sports and brought recognition to the organisation.

Speaking on the occasion, Paresh Ranpara, Director (Personnel), NHPC, highlighted the organisation’s continued commitment towards promoting sports and nurturing sporting talent.
He spoke about NHPC’s Sports Policy and various initiatives aimed at encouraging employees and young sportspersons to participate and excel at different levels.
The initiatives are intended to provide encouragement and support to sporting talent while promoting a culture of fitness and excellence within the organisation.
