NLC India Limited Wins 3 National PR Awards for Excellence in Communication, Transparency, and Annual Reporting

Dehradun: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a leading Public Sector Undertaking, has achieved a remarkable feat by winning three national awards at the 47th All India Public Relations Conference organized by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, held from December 13 to 15, 2025. The event, themed “Empowering Growth, Preserving Roots,” celebrated excellence in public relations, communication, and transparency across Indian organizations.

Prestigious National Recognition

NLCIL received top honors in the following categories:

  • 1st Place – Best e-Newsletter: Recognizing excellence in information exchange through modern technology.
  • 1st Place – Best PSU Implementing RTI: Awarded for ensuring administrative transparency under the Right to Information Act.
  • 2nd Place – Best Annual Report: For effectively explaining the company’s operations and performance.

The awards were presented by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with Dr. Ajit Pathak, National President of PRSI, and Dr. P.L.K. Murthy, Secretary-General of PRSI.

Earlier Accolades at State-Level PRSI Awards

Prior to the national recognition, NLCIL’s Corporate Communication Department had also won three awards at the state-level PRSI ceremony held in Chennai on November 28, 2025, under the PSU category:

  • Gold – Digital Video
  • Silver – Television Advertisement Video
  • Bronze – House Journal in Tamil

These awards reflect the consistent excellence and creativity of the company’s communication and media outreach initiatives.

Recognition of Transparency and Excellence

The awards were handed over to Mr. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited, at the Corporate Office in Neyveli on December 18, 2025. Mr. Samir Swarup, Director (Human Resources), was also present and congratulated the officials responsible for these achievements.

CMD Mr. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli remarked, “Winning the national award for the effective implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act for 12 consecutive years is a monumental achievement. Consistent accolades in communication and statutory financial reporting are a testament to our commitment to transparency and social responsibility. These awards reaffirm NLCIL’s reputation at the national level.”
