Raipur: Chhattisgarh is set to get a new campus of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, with the land registration and 90-year lease agreement for the institution now completed.
The formalities were completed in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, paving the way for the establishment of the campus in Sector 18 of Nava Raipur.
Campus to Come Up Across 40 Acres
The NMIMS campus will be developed on approximately 40 acres of land allotted to the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM), which operates the institute, on a 90-year lease.

The Chhattisgarh Cabinet had approved the land allotment proposal in January 2026. With the lease and registration process completed, the project can now move towards the establishment of the campus.
First Academic Batch in 2–3 Years
According to officials, the first academic batch at the proposed campus is expected to begin within two to three years.
The overall establishment of the campus is targeted for completion within seven years. Once fully developed, the institution is expected to have the capacity to accommodate around 10,000 students.
Focus on Higher Education and Skills
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai said the state government wants young people in Chhattisgarh to have access to quality and modern higher education within the state rather than having to move to major cities.
He said providing quality education, skill development and better employment opportunities for the state’s youth remains a priority of the government.

The proposed campus is expected to offer opportunities in management, skill development and employment-oriented education. Its establishment forms part of the state’s broader efforts to expand access to reputed higher-education institutions within Chhattisgarh.
