Mr. Abhoy Kumar Mishra began his career with NTPC Limited on October 25, 1990, as an Executive Trainee in the Mechanical stream.

He is widely regarded as a seasoned professional in thermal power plant management.
Strong Academic Background in Engineering and Power Technology
Born on September 23, 1966, in Odisha, Mr. Mishra has a strong academic foundation in engineering and power systems.
His qualifications include:
- B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology Sarang
- M.Tech in Power Generation Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi
This combination of academic and technical expertise has supported his leadership roles across multiple NTPC projects.

During his long tenure, Mr. Mishra has served at several important power stations, including:
- NTPC Korba
- NTPC Talcher Kaniha
- NTPC Simhadri

At these stations, he handled responsibilities in operations, maintenance planning, and performance optimization.
Before his current elevation, he served as Head of Operations and Maintenance at NTPC Tanda, where he contributed significantly to improving plant performance.

Mr. Mishra joined NTPC Dadri in May 2025 as Chief General Manager (Operations & Maintenance). He was later appointed Head of Project, where he led key operational initiatives.
