NTPC Launches Three-Month Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 Under ‘Probity for Prosperity’

Campaign runs from August 17 to November 16 with focus on pending cases, capacity building, digital initiatives, contract management and preventive vigilance.

New Delhi: NTPC Limited has launched its three-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 at Scope Complex, New Delhi, with a focus on strengthening integrity, transparency and preventive vigilance across the organisation.

The campaign was formally inaugurated by Rashmita Jha, IRS, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), NTPC, and will run from August 17 to November 16, 2026, as a prelude to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026.

During the launch, the CVO also unveiled the revamped Corporate Vigilance Intranet page.

NTPC Vigilance Campaign 2026 Focuses on ‘Probity for Prosperity’

The campaign is being conducted under the theme “Probity for Prosperity” and will focus on five key areas identified by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

The five focus areas are:

  • Disposal of pending complaints
  • Disposal of pending cases
  • Capacity-building programmes
  • Digital initiatives
  • Contract management

The campaign aims to strengthen preventive vigilance and improve awareness through sustained and innovative initiatives across NTPC.

CVO Highlights Preventive Vigilance and Outreach

Addressing the gathering, Rashmita Jha, CVO, NTPC, urged vigilance officials to enhance the reach, quality and impact of preventive vigilance and outreach programmes during the campaign.

She emphasised the importance of participative and interactive engagement with stakeholders. According to the CVO, the campaign provides an opportunity to take preventive vigilance beyond conventional awareness activities and create a sustained impact through innovative initiatives and their effective implementation.

She expressed confidence that the campaign would further strengthen NTPC’s culture of integrity, transparency and probity.

NTPC Expands ‘VAW Volunteer’ Initiative

The CVO also announced the expansion of the “VAW Volunteer” initiative during this year’s campaign.

A special focus will be placed on engaging women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The initiative is aimed at encouraging wider participation in vigilance awareness activities and strengthening outreach among different stakeholder groups.

Rashmita Jha expressed confidence that the campaign would further strengthen NTPC’s culture of integrity, transparency and probity.

NTPC Vigilance Executives Urged to Lead by Example

G. Raja Shekhar, Head of Vigilance, NTPC, also addressed the gathering and urged Vigilance Executives to demonstrate integrity and ethical conduct in their professional responsibilities.

He called upon the executives to lead by example and become true flag-bearers of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign at their respective projects.

The three-month campaign is expected to provide a sustained platform for preventive vigilance, stakeholder engagement and capacity building across NTPC.

The three-month campaign is designed to provide a sustained platform for preventive vigilance activities ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026. Through its focus on pending cases, capacity building, digital initiatives, contract management and stakeholder participation, NTPC aims to strengthen its vigilance framework and promote a culture of ethical conduct, transparency and accountability.
