New Delhi: NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has emerged as a successful bidder in the e-reverse auction conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for assured peak supply of renewable energy.
Under the terms of the Request for Selection (RfS), NTPC REL has secured 500 MW of contracted capacity at a discovered tariff of ₹6.00 per kWh. The e-reverse auction was concluded on August 21, 2026.
NTPC Renewable Energy Wins 500 MW Capacity
The successful bid was secured under SECI-FDRE-IX, a tariff-based competitive bidding tender for the selection of renewable energy power developers.
The tender seeks to ensure an assured peak supply of 6,000 MWh, structured as 1,500 MW for four hours, from Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects across India.
