New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) conducted interviews for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Braithwaite & Co. Limited (BCL) on October 8, 2026, but did not recommend any of the nine candidates interviewed for the position.
The selection meeting, Meeting No. 83/2026, was held at 8:45 AM. The CMD post at Braithwaite & Co. Limited is currently vacant.
PESB Interviews Nine Candidates for CMD Post
The PESB interviewed nine candidates from different public sector organisations and government services for the top leadership position at Braithwaite & Co. Limited.
The candidates who appeared before the selection board were:
- Sanjeev Rastogi – Director (Production), Braithwaite & Co. Limited
- Prem Prakash Srivastava – Senior General Manager (HR/A), UP (West) Circle, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited
- Amber Kumar – General Manager, Consultancy Wing, NTPC Limited
- Yogesh Vijay – Chief General Manager (Planning & Coordination), Pipeline Head Office, Indian Oil Corporation Limited
- Ms. Renu Sarin – Additional General Manager (Business Development), NTPC Limited
- Vinod Kumar Sahebrao Bhoyar – Additional General Manager (RE Hydrogen Energy) and Head of 4 GW RE Project, NTPC Limited
- Amrendra Kumar Singh – Chief General Manager, Durgapur, MECON Limited
- Sheel Bhadra – Chief Mechanical Engineer (Construction), Railways
- Naveen Kumar Singh – Senior Administrative Grade, Principal Chief Materials Manager/NFR Con, Indian Railway Stores Service

PESB Does Not Recommend Any Candidate
After completing the interviews, the selection board did not find any of the nine candidates suitable for recommendation for the CMD position.
As a result, PESB did not recommend any name for appointment as Chairman & Managing Director of Braithwaite & Co. Limited.
The decision leaves the CMD position vacant while the next course of action for selecting the company’s top executive is considered.
Ministry of Railways Asked to Decide Next Selection Process
Following the outcome of the interviews, PESB has advised the Administrative Ministry/Department, Ministry of Railways, to decide on an appropriate course of further action for filling the CMD post.
The next selection process may include:
- Constitution of a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC)
- Initiation of another appropriate selection process
- Any other procedure considered suitable by the competent authority
Any further course of action will require the approval of the competent authority.
CMD Post of Braithwaite & Co. Currently Vacant
The CMD position at Braithwaite & Co. Limited is currently lying vacant. The PESB interview was conducted to identify a suitable candidate for the company’s top executive position.
However, with no candidate recommended, the Ministry of Railways will now have to determine the next steps for the appointment.
The development comes as the government continues the process of selecting leadership for central public sector enterprises through the PESB mechanism.
