New Delhi: In a key development for India’s defence public sector ecosystem, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Dr. Anil Ranga for appointment as the next Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Troop Comforts Limited (TCL). The final appointment will now require approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) and other competent authorities.
PESB Selection Meeting and Recommendation
The recommendation was made during PESB Meeting No. 43/2026 held on June 5, 2026, following a detailed selection process involving senior officials from multiple government and defence organisations.
A total of ten senior executives were interviewed for the prestigious post. After evaluation of their experience, leadership capabilities, and domain expertise, the board recommended Dr. Ranga for the top role at Troop Comforts Limited.

Dr. Anil Ranga, currently serving as Chief General Manager at Ordnance Equipment Factory (OEF), Kanpur, which is associated with Troop Comforts Limited, emerged as the preferred candidate.
His selection highlights his:

- Leadership within the Ordnance Factory ecosystem
- Familiarity with Troop Comforts Limited’s functioning and production systems
