New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended Mr.Bimal Gopalachari for appointment as the Managing Director of Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Limited, a Schedule C Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Government of India.
The decision was taken during PESB Meeting No. 41/2026, held on May 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM after a structured interview process involving senior officials from multiple public sector organizations.

The selection process included detailed interviews of candidates from various Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and defence services. The board assessed candidates based on:

- Suitability for heading a Schedule C PSU

Recommended Candidate Details
Mr.Bimal Gopalachari, currently serving as Additional General Manager and Head – Business Development at NTPC Green Energy Limited (under NTPC Limited), has been recommended for the post of Managing Director of CCICL.
His key experience includes:
- Business development and strategic planning
- Leadership in the energy sector
- Operational and organizational management
He was selected after demonstrating strong professional expertise and leadership capabilities during the interview process.
