Leadership Updates: Petronet LNG Appoints Avantika Singh Aulakh as Nominee Director on Board

New Delhi: India’s premier liquefied natural gas (LNG) importer, Petronet LNG Limited (PLL), has announced a significant change in its Board of Directors following a fresh nomination by the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). The development marks a routine yet important update in the company’s boardroom composition, in line with established corporate governance practices.

Avantika Singh Aulakh Appointed Nominee Director

According to a regulatory filing made on Tuesday, Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh, IAS, has been nominated as the new Nominee Director (GoG/GMB) on the Board of Petronet LNG. She replaces Shri Milind Torawane, IAS, who has ceased to be a director following the withdrawal of his nomination by GSPC.

The company stated that it received an official communication from GSPC dated December 30, 2025, informing it that Shri Torawane’s nomination was withdrawn with effect from December 24, 2024. As a result, his tenure on the Petronet LNG board has formally come to an end.

Regulatory Filing and Compliance

Petronet LNG clarified that the board change is being carried out in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company also noted that further details related to the appointment will be shared after completion of statutory formalities.

In its filing, the company said, “The details of Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh (DIN: 07549438) shall be intimated after her formal appointment on the Board in terms of the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013.”

Profile: Avantika Singh Aulakh

Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh is a 2003-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre and is currently serving as the Managing Director of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). She has held several key administrative positions during her career and has been closely associated with policy-making and execution in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Her induction on the Petronet LNG board is expected to enhance coordination between the state-run energy entities and the country’s largest LNG importing company.

The stock exchanges have been duly informed of the board-level change. Petronet LNG indicated that the formal process of Ms. Aulakh’s induction on the board will be completed in the coming days, following necessary approvals and compliance requirements.
