New Delhi: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Border Security Force (BSF) to provide enhanced banking and welfare benefits to serving BSF personnel and pensioners under its flagship PNB Rakshak Plus scheme.
The partnership aims to strengthen financial support for BSF personnel and their families through insurance coverage, education assistance, loan concessions and other family-oriented benefits.
PNB Signs MoU with Border Security Force
The MoU was signed by Rajendra Singh, General Manager, PNB, and Vijay Kumar Thapliyal, Inspector General (Administration), BSF.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of:
- Major General DS Bisht, SM, VSM (Retd), Chief Defence Banking Advisor*
- DIG Lakhminder Gill, DIG Welfare

Under the partnership, PNB will provide a range of enhanced benefits to serving BSF personnel and pensioners.

- Educational support for children
- Benefits for girls’ marriage
- Concessions on retail loans
- Special schemes for dependents
- Family-focused benefits for Rakshak Account holders
The initiative is aimed at providing comprehensive financial and welfare support to BSF personnel and their families.
PNB Reaffirms Support for Defence and Security Personnel
Through the MoU, PNB has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting personnel serving the nation. The bank will extend financial and welfare benefits designed to address the banking and family needs of BSF personnel, pensioners and their dependents.
The PNB Rakshak Plus scheme forms part of the bank’s efforts to provide specialised banking solutions to personnel associated with the country’s defence and security services.
