New Delhi: Navratna Defence PSU Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Metamind Systems Private Limited and Kristellar Aerospace Private Limited to jointly develop advanced technologies across defence and non-defence sectors.
The agreement was signed in Bengaluru on May 4, 2026, aiming to strengthen collaboration in emerging technology areas and boost indigenous defence capabilities.
Focus on Cybersecurity, AI, and Semiconductor Technologies
Under the partnership, the three organisations will co-develop future-ready solutions in key domains such as:
- Cybersecurity
- Electronic Warfare and Avionics (EW&A)
- Semiconductors
- Data Centres
- Aerospace and Defence systems
The collaboration also includes the development of electronic modules, sub-systems, and mission-critical defence technologies.

Leveraging Complementary Strengths
The MoU brings together the unique strengths of all three partners:
- BEL: Manufacturing capabilities and strong market reach in defence electronics
- Metamind Systems: Expertise in AI-driven data analytics, digital transformation, and government project management
- Kristellar Aerospace: Advanced R&D in aerospace systems, cyber defence, radar, propulsion, and secure communications
This synergy is expected to improve execution efficiency, reduce project risks, and deliver scalable technology solutions.
Boost to ‘Make in India’ and Atmanirbhar Bharat
The partnership aligns with the Government of India’s Make in India initiative and the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, focusing on strengthening domestic defence manufacturing capabilities.
The companies will also explore opportunities to enhance export potential of indigenous defence and aerospace systems developed under this collaboration.
Strengthening India’s Defence Innovation Ecosystem
The alliance aims to promote innovation in critical technologies such as semiconductor manufacturing, AI-driven defence systems, and next-generation aerospace platforms, supporting both military and civilian applications.
BEL CMD Manoj Jain, Metamind CMD Hrishikesh Kinikar, and Kristellar CEO Udaya Banu Das were present during the MoU exchange.
