CMPDI Q1 FY27 Results: Net Profit Rises 54% to ₹116 Crore, Revenue Grows 17.6%; Announces ₹1.05 Dividend

Mumbai: Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27).

The company posted a standalone net profit of ₹116.27 crore in Q1 FY27, registering a growth of 53.9% year-on-year (YoY) compared to ₹75.56 crore reported in the same quarter of FY26.

CMPDI’s revenue from operations also witnessed significant growth, rising to ₹481.37 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹409.25 crore in Q1 FY26, marking an increase of 17.6%.

CMPDI Q1 FY27 Financial Highlights

The key financial performance indicators of CMPDI during Q1 FY27 include:

  • Net Profit: ₹116.27 crore, up 53.9% from ₹75.56 crore in Q1 FY26
  • Revenue from Operations: ₹481.37 crore, up 17.6% from ₹409.25 crore
  • Profit Before Tax (PBT): ₹160.14 crore, up 67.9% from ₹95.39 crore
  • Total Income: ₹504.02 crore, up 19.1% from ₹423.29 crore
  • Basic Earnings Per Share (EPS): ₹1.63, up 53.8% from ₹1.06
  • EBITDA: Approximately ₹168 crore, up nearly 61% compared to ₹104 crore in Q1 FY26

The company’s strong profitability was supported by improved operational performance and higher income during the quarter.

CMPDI Announces First Interim Dividend of ₹1.05 Per Share

Along with the quarterly results, CMPDI’s Board of Directors approved the company’s first interim dividend for FY27.

The company has announced:

  • Interim Dividend: ₹1.05 per equity share
  • Face Value: ₹2 per equity share
  • Record Date: July 24, 2026
  • Dividend Payment Date: On or before August 19, 2026

The dividend was recommended by the Audit Committee during its meeting held on July 20, 2026.

CMPDI Shares Rise After Strong Q1 Results

Following the announcement of the Q1 FY27 results and interim dividend, CMPDI shares witnessed strong buying interest in the stock market.

The shares opened nearly 2% higher at ₹257.80 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and later touched an intraday high of ₹273.50.

During intraday trading, the stock gained nearly 8%, outperforming the broader market trend. The company’s shares were trading around ₹268, up 5.7%, during afternoon trade, with more than 11 million shares changing hands on NSE.

CMPDI Expense and Income Details

During Q1 FY27, CMPDI recorded the following financial movements:

  • Total Expenses: ₹343.88 crore, up 4.9% from ₹327.90 crore in Q1 FY26
  • Tax Expenses: ₹43.87 crore, increased by 121% from ₹20.45 crore
  • Other Income: ₹22.65 crore, up 61.3% from ₹14.04 crore

Despite higher expenses and taxation, the company maintained strong profit growth during the quarter.

CMPDI Business Segment Performance

CMPDI operates primarily in the consultancy services sector, and all its business activities are related to this core segment.

The company does not have separate reportable business segments, as its operations revolve around providing specialized consultancy services in the mining sector.

Board Meeting Details

CMPDI’s Board meeting was held on July 20, 2026 to consider the financial results and dividend proposal.

The meeting details are:
