New Delhi: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) is undertaking a donation drive as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign, promoting environmental sustainability, resource conservation and social responsibility through the principles of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (3Rs).
The initiative encourages stakeholders to donate reusable items, helping extend their life, minimise waste generation and support community welfare. Through this campaign, HUDCO aims to raise awareness about responsible consumption and encourage people to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
HUDCO Sets Up Donation Boxes at HUDCO Bhawan
As part of the Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 initiative, donation boxes have been placed at HUDCO Bhawan to encourage employees and other stakeholders to contribute usable items that can benefit others.
The donation drive accepts items that remain in usable condition, giving them a second life instead of allowing them to become waste. The initiative also promotes the spirit of sharing and community support.
Items that can be donated include:
- Clothes
- Footwear
- Books
- Toys
- Other usable items
By encouraging the reuse of everyday essentials, the initiative seeks to reduce waste while making useful resources available to those who may need them.

Interactive Session to Promote Responsible Giving
As part of the campaign, HUDCO has planned an interactive session for the following week to sensitise employees to responsible giving, resource reuse and community development.
The session will further highlight how small behavioural changes and mindful consumption can contribute to environmental protection and social welfare. It will also reinforce the importance of making better use of available resources rather than discarding items that can still serve a purpose.
The initiative aims to encourage employees to incorporate sustainable practices into their everyday lives and contribute to a culture of responsible resource management.
Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 Promotes Waste Reduction and Community Welfare
HUDCO’s donation drive reflects the broader message of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, which encourages collective participation in cleanliness, sustainability and responsible waste management.
By combining donations with awareness activities, the initiative connects environmental conservation with social responsibility. Reusing clothes, books, footwear, toys and other usable items can help reduce waste, conserve resources and extend the useful life of everyday products.
The campaign emphasises that individual contributions, when combined, can make a meaningful difference to society and the environment.
