Amidst a recent development, Mr. Salim G Purushotham was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel to be appointed as the Director (Operations) of the Navaratna PSU, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL). Mr. Purushotham presently serves as the Executive Director of Braithwaite & Co. Ltd.
He made the cut from a list of twelve candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on May 21st. Out of the lot, six candidates were from RINL, two from SAIL and one each from Braithwaite & Co. Ltd., NTPC Limited, Central Coalfields Ltd. and Indian Ordnance Factories Service.
