The Puducherry government announced the transfer and posting of six IPS officers on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.
The new assignments are as follows:
- P Sathiyasundaram (IPS, 2009 batch, AGMUT cadre) is appointed as DIG of Police, overseeing Law & Order in Puducherry.
- Brijendra Kumar Yadav (IPS, 2010 batch, AGMUT cadre) will serve as DIG of Police, focusing on Armed Police and Training in Puducherry.
- Narra Chaitanya (IPS, 2017 batch, AGMUT cadre), formerly SSP of Law & Order, is reassigned as SSP, Crime & Intelligence, and will also hold the additional role of Commandant for the IR Battalion.
- R Kalaivanan (IPS, 2018 batch, AGMUT cadre), previously SSP of Crime & Intelligence, has been posted as SSP of Law & Order in Puducherry.
- MVNV Lakshmi Soujanya (IPS, 2021 batch, AGMUT cadre), previously SP for the East zone, will now take charge as SSP in Karaikal.
- Isha Singh (IPS, 2021 batch, AGMUT cadre) has been posted as SP for the East zone in Puducherry.
