For the first time, woman IPS ADGP Administration Gurpreet Kaur Dev has been posted as the head of the Vigilance Wing of the state. She will replace Ishwar Singh of 1993 batch IPS.
The Punjab government on Friday transferred three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers with immediate effect. According to an official order, 1988 batch IPS officer and Special Director General of Police (Investigation, Lokpal) Prabodh Kumar has been appointed as Special DGP (Intelligence).
Additional Director General of Police (Traffic) S. Srivastava has been given the charge of ADGP (Intelligence) in place of senior IPS officer Amardeep Singh Rai.
Amardeep Singh Rai, a 1994 batch IPS officer, has been appointed as ADGP (Traffic) in place of Srivastava.
