The Punjab Government on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of five Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officers with immediate effect as part of an administrative reshuffle. The orders were issued on administrative grounds, and all officers have been directed to join their new assignments without delay.
Pooja Sayal Appointed Commissioner of Patiala Municipal Corporation
Under the new orders, Pooja Sayal, PCS (2012), who was serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Fatehgarh Sahib, has been placed at the disposal of the Department of Local Government for posting as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Patiala. She will replace Paramjit Singh, IAS, in the post.
Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, PCS (2012), currently serving as Secretary, Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board, has been transferred and posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Fatehgarh Sahib, in place of Pooja Sayal.
Changes in Selection Board and Industry Departments
Amrinder Singh Tiwana, PCS (2014), who was serving as Joint Secretary, Defence Services Welfare, has been appointed Secretary, Punjab Subordinate Service Selection Board, replacing Amarbir Kaur Bhullar.
In another key move, Kanu Thind, PCS (2014), Joint Director (Administration) in the Office of Director, Industries and Commerce and Member Secretary of the Punjab State Food Commission, has been assigned the additional charge of Additional Managing Director, Punjab Small Industries Export Corporation. The officer will take over the additional responsibility from Jagdeep Saigal, PCS.
Vikas Hira Shifted to GLADA
Vikas Hira, PCS (2016), who was serving as Additional Chief Administrator (Policy), Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) and also holding charge as Additional Chief Administrator, Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA), Ludhiana, has been placed at the disposal of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
He has been posted as Additional Chief Administrator, GLADA, Ludhiana, replacing Ojasvi, IAS.
The government has directed all officers concerned to assume charge of their new postings immediately. Departments have also been instructed to make internal arrangements for handling the work of posts that have fallen vacant as a result of the transfers.
