Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the Governing Council meeting of the NITI Aayog held in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The high-level meeting focused on the theme “Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Inclusive Human Development.”
The discussion centered on key areas such as human resource development, good governance, innovation, public participation, and strategies to achieve the vision of a developed India by 2047.
Uttarakhand’s Commitment to Viksit Bharat Vision
During the meeting, CM Dhami said that Uttarakhand will play a significant role in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047 under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He emphasized that the state government is consistently working to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. Special focus is being given to empowering youth, women, and farmers while strengthening a transparent and accountable governance system.
Focus on Development, Employment and Good Governance
CM Dhami highlighted that the state government is actively working across sectors such as infrastructure development, employment generation, and public welfare schemes.
He expressed confidence that strong coordination between the Centre and states, along with active public participation, will help Uttarakhand contribute meaningfully to the national development goals.
CM Congratulates PM Modi on Leadership Milestone
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for completing 12 years in office and becoming one of the longest-serving democratically elected leaders in India’s history.
He said that PM Modi has set a new benchmark in public service and governance through continuous national service and welfare-oriented leadership.
Invitation to PM Modi for Kumbh Mela and Nanda Raj Jat Yatra
On the occasion, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of the NITI Aayog to attend the upcoming Kumbh Mela and the Nanda Raj Jat Yatra scheduled to be held in Uttarakhand next year.
The invitation highlights Uttarakhand’s cultural and spiritual significance along with its preparations for major upcoming events.
Discussions on Cooperative Federalism and Balanced Growth
The meeting also included discussions on strengthening cooperative federalism and ensuring balanced and inclusive development across all states.
Key focus areas included aligning state priorities with long-term national development goals and improving coordination between the Centre and states.

The NITI Aayog meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Centre and states toward achieving the vision of a developed India by 2047.
