Kolkata: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) and NLC India Limited (NLCIL) have extended their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for continued coal supply to support thermal power generation in India. The renewed agreement aims to strengthen energy security and ensure uninterrupted electricity production across DVC’s power stations.
20 Lakh Metric Tonnes Coal Supply from Talabira Project
Under the extended agreement, NLC India Limited will supply 20 lakh metric tonnes (LMT) of coal from its Talabira II & III Open Cast Project.
This coal supply is expected to serve as a stable and reliable fuel source for DVC’s thermal power plants, enabling efficient and continuous power generation to meet rising electricity demand.
Focus on Energy Security and Operational Efficiency
The MoU was signed at DVC Towers in Kolkata in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
