Koderma: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has taken a significant step toward improving rural healthcare infrastructure by donating two ambulances under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative in Koderma, Jharkhand. The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the NGO Pehchan, aims to enhance emergency medical response and expand access to timely healthcare services in underserved regions.
Ambulances Handed Over to Support Rural Healthcare
The ambulances were formally handed over by Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief General Manager (CGM) and Head of Project (HOP), KTPS, to Smt. Annapurna Devi, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development. The handover ceremony took place at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Koderma.
Officials noted that the initiative is designed to strengthen emergency response systems, particularly in rural and remote areas where access to timely medical transportation is often limited.
Collaboration with NGO Pehchan for Service Delivery
The donated ambulances will be operated by the NGO Pehchan, which focuses on improving healthcare access for vulnerable communities. The organization will play a key role in ensuring that emergency medical services reach people in need without delay.
The partnership highlights a collaborative model where public sector enterprises and civil society organizations work together to address critical gaps in healthcare delivery.

The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Mr. Amit Yadav, Hon’ble MLA from Bharkhatta. Senior officials from DVC were also present, including:

- Mr. Francis Hembrom, Deputy General Manager (HR)
