New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has approved the appointment of Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, as Group General Manager (Commercial & Operations) at Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) on an immediate absorption basis, according to an official order issued on Tuesday.

Appointment Approved on Immediate Absorption Basis

Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh is currently serving as Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM) in Northern Railway. His appointment to CONCOR has been cleared following a proposal forwarded by Northern Railway, with directions to relieve him immediately to enable his joining at CONCOR.

Technical Resignation Accepted

The competent authority has accepted Mr. Singh’s technical resignation from Railway service. The resignation will take effect from the date he formally joins CONCOR and will be notified after confirmation of his joining date.

Joining Timeline and Instructions

As per Railway Board directions, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh must join CONCOR within 15 days from the date of issue of the appointment letter, in line with Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare guidelines. If he is unable to join within the stipulated period, he has been instructed to report back to the Railway Board within the same timeframe.

Issuing Authority

The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Mr. Bashekhar, Joint Secretary, Railway Board, Ministry of Railways. Copies of the order have been circulated to CONCOR, senior Railway Board officials, zonal railways, and the officer concerned for necessary action.
