The desert state of Rajasthan famous for its Kota coaching centres has also turned out to be one of the states which gave maximum number of IAS officers to the country. Recently, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the results of the 2022 Civil Services Examination, which showed a good percentage of Rajasthan youths who made it to the merit list.

Similarly, the level of education is very high in Sikar and Jhunjhunu of Shekhawati, which produce 10 to 12 selected candidates every year. Even if they do not get the post of IAS, they are selected for Revenue, Foreign and Forest Services among others.

In the last decade, two youths from Rajasthan, Kanishak Kataria and Gaurav Agarwal, had secured the first position in the entire country in this examination.

The eight districts of Rajasthan that have produced the maximum number of Indian Administrative Service officers are Jaipur, Sikar, Jodhpur, Barmer, Sawai Madhopur, Dausa, Bharatpur and Bikaner.
