New Delhi: The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has received the first prize under the Rajbhasha Kirti category for ministries and departments with fewer than 300 personnel, recognising its work in implementing and promoting Official Language Hindi during 2025-26.
The award was presented at the 6th All India Official Language Conference and Hindi Diwas organised by the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
DFS Recognised for Hindi Implementation
The Rajbhasha Kirti award recognises the department’s efforts in the effective implementation and use of Hindi in official work.
The recognition covers:
- Effective implementation of Official Language Hindi
- Increased use of Hindi in departmental work
- Innovative and creative use of Hindi in official communication
The award was given for the department’s performance during the 2025-26 period.
Additional Secretary Receives Award
Hari Har Mishra, Additional Secretary, Department of Financial Services, received the award on behalf of the department from Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah.
The award ceremony was held during the two-day conference on September 14-15, 2026, at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
Representatives from ministries, departments and institutions involved in Official Language activities from across the country participated in the conference.

The 6th All India Official Language Conference and Hindi Diwas was organised by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, under the chairmanship of Amit Shah.
The Rajbhasha Kirti award is among the recognitions presented for notable efforts in the implementation and promotion of Hindi in official work.
