Haryana: The Union Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change has issued a notification appointing retired IAS officer Sameer Pal Srow as the Chairman of State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), Haryana on Wednesday.

Mr. Srow, belonging to the 2002 IAS batch of the Haryana cadre, had served as the Director General, Information and Public Relations, besides being Deputy Commissioner of some districts in Haryana.

The Authority is mandated to clear the public and private project keeping in view their impact on the fragile ecosystem.
