New Delhi: Defence leaders and strategic experts will discuss the evolving nature of warfare, joint operations and the role of the Armed Forces in national development at the second Annual Trident Lecture of the Centre for Joint Warfare Studies (CENJOWS) in New Delhi on September 1.
Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth will inaugurate the lecture at the Manekshaw Centre and deliver a special address on ‘Leveraging the Potential of Next Generation for Nation Building’.
The lecture is being organised as part of CENJOWS’ anniversary celebrations under the theme ‘National Resurgence through the Lens of Defence Forces’.
Focus on Jointness and Multi-Domain Warfare
The programme will bring together senior military leadership and experts for discussions on how India’s defence forces can strengthen integration and adapt to emerging forms of warfare.
Key sessions will focus on:
- Jointness and integration across the three Armed Forces.
- Multi-domain operations and the changing character of warfare.
- Civil-military fusion and its potential contribution to national growth.
- The role of the next generation in nation building and national security.
Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee and Chairman of CENJOWS, Air Marshal Tejinder Singh, will deliver the keynote address on ‘Emerging Contours of Jointness and Integration’.
Senior Military Leaders to Address Emerging Security Challenges
The programme will also feature addresses by Lt Gen Raj Shukla (Retd) on ‘Civil-Military Fusion: The Way for National Growth’ and Lt Gen Sandeep Jain, Vice Chief of the Army Staff, on ‘Fighting Smartly: Multi-Domain Operations and The Concept of Jointness’.
The discussions are expected to examine the need for greater integration among the Armed Forces and the growing importance of coordinated operations across multiple domains.
CENJOWS’ Role in Defence Research
Established in 2007 under the aegis of Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, CENJOWS is a tri-services think tank that facilitates research, analysis and informed debate on joint warfare, national security and the employment of national power.
The Annual Trident Lecture forms part of its efforts to bring military leadership, strategic experts and other stakeholders together on emerging issues concerning India’s defence and national security.
