New Delhi: The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a Navratna Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, has signed a Statement of Intent (SoI) with GEAPP ServiceCo to further strengthen India’s clean energy transition. The agreement was formally exchanged on December 12, 2025, by senior leaders of SECI and GEAPP in the presence of key officials.

Focus on Accelerating Renewable Energy Deployment

The SoI marks an important step toward enhancing collaboration in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on scaling up clean energy solutions, enabling innovative approaches, and supporting India’s ambitious renewable energy targets. The partnership aims to leverage technical expertise, strategic planning, and international best practices to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy projects across the country.

SECI Signs MoU with IPGCL and PPCL

In another significant development, SECI also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited (IPGCL) and Pragati Power Corporation Limited (PPCL) on December 9, 2025. The MoU lays the foundation for a strategic partnership focused on exploring and implementing renewable energy projects, particularly in and around the National Capital Region.

IPGCL, the electricity generation company of the Government of Delhi, plays a key role in operating power plants and meeting the capital’s power requirements, often in collaboration with PPCL. The partnership with SECI is expected to support the integration of renewable energy into the existing power infrastructure.

Strengthening India’s Renewable Energy Ecosystem

These agreements underline SECI’s proactive approach in building partnerships with both domestic and international stakeholders to drive India’s renewable energy journey. The collaborations are expected to contribute to cleaner power generation, reduced carbon emissions, and improved energy security, while also supporting innovation and sustainability in the power sector.
