New Delhi: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has signed an escrow agreement for 72 of its mines as part of its efforts to strengthen mine closure and rehabilitation activities. The agreement was signed on September 28, 2026, at the Coal Controller’s Office in New Delhi.
SECL said the agreement is an important step towards responsible mining, effective mine closure and sustainable development in mining-affected areas.
