SECL Women Officers Win Nari Shakti Samman Awards 2025 for Environmental Excellence

New Delhi: Two women officers from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) have brought accolades to the company by winning the Nari Shakti Samman Awards 2025 in the Excellence in the Field of Environment category. The prestigious awards were conferred at a ceremony held in New Delhi on October 15, 2025, recognising outstanding women leaders from India’s public sector.

Anumol R. Panicker and Keerthi K. G. Recognised for Green Leadership

Ms. Anumol R. Panicker, Manager (Environment), and Ms. Keerthi K. G., Deputy Manager (Environment), were honoured for their remarkable contributions to environmental protection and sustainable mining practices at SECL. Their work reflects the company’s strong focus on environmental responsibility and innovation in the coal mining sector.

Dignitaries Grace the Awards Ceremony

The award ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries, including Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Hon’ble Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, who was the Chief Guest. Also present were Ms. Sukla Mistry, Former Director (Refineries), Indian Oil Corporation Limited; Dr. Alka Mittal, Former CMD, ONGC Limited; and Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Retired IAS Officer and widely regarded as the Father of CSR in India.

The recognition highlights SECL’s unwavering commitment to sustainable mining, environmental protection, and responsible corporate practices.
